But the Bible is virtually a collection of contradictions, so much so that atheists point to them as mistakes, and we even have websites detailing them.
Tell you what, I’ll start a thread on supposed contradictions in the Bible and you can post all the contradictions you think are in the Bible, and I will answer every one of them. You game?
Scooter, i am pretty much aware of the cult of sol answers already, not saying that i wouldnt learn anything; but you might explain No son of man may die and yet Christ died, for yourself i mean.

But there are a few im not so thrilled with my understandings of right now, nor anyone elses. Wouldnt make a bad thread prolly

Well, you dipped back into the OT for that tho see, the dispensation of law, given to prove its inadequacy, right? So yes, Under the law nearly every sin requires blood (red stew), true enough. But of course you have made some connections (or well, someone did anyway) without really answering the q, see

Which i am ok with, ok? Bc freed from the law is a dangerous thing lol, and i have no desire any longer to be dragging ppl to cliffs and throwing them off ok, only dont you think there would be some passages about how Yah needs this perfect sacrifice? One passage, even? Where is it? See bc in between your ref there and Jesus i can Quote quite a bit of I detest your sacrifices see
It's not a matter of God "needing" a perfect sacrifice, but of God requiring a perfect sacrifice. The reason is because God is perfect and will only accept a perfect sacrifice. Jesus lived during the dispensation of law so He fulfilled the law by being the perfect Passover sacrifice. SO whether in the OT or the NT, the Law was still in effect when Jesus died for our sins.
Well then coming up with a single passage about Yah requiring or needing (or maybe even what the diff in the two is lol) a Perfect Sacrifice should be doubly easy (bc witness too), on so existential a subject, right

Im looking for one unadulterated, incontrovertible “I require a sacrifice,” perfect or not. Honorable Mentions for “Yah requires a sacrifice” i guess.

Only see, Yah went looking for Adam/Eve even after they had eaten the fruit, huh; so now you gotta answer what made Him change His mind? When did He start needing sacrifices, of any stripe? You might satisfy yourself with the “without blemish” vv…for a while, but they really dont address the q, see

Dont they just kinda suddenly appear on the scene? Under the law nearly every sin requires blood, You are freed from the law of sin and death see, you gotta pick one, only its not like picking what youre gonna wear or eat lol. Meaning you might easily claim the second while being the first, bc talk is cheap, right

Ok, quote me the verse you continue to refer to and I'll answer your question. Just because you place something in italics does not make it straight from the Bible. Give me book, chapter and verse and we'll go from there.

well, its straight from the Bible, in like three places i think? Google has no probs finding it

No son of man may die for another’s sins; the lifesoul that sins is the one that dies
Ezekiel, Deuteronomy, Psalms, Jeremiah too i think

What do you mean by asking "what made Him change His mind"? Change His mind about what? Are you talking about sacrifices? If so, do you even understand what a sacrifice is? Do you know the purpose of sacrifices?

Well, I'm not familiar with this so I do not understand what it has to do with supposed contradictions in the Bible. Since you claimed the Bible is full of contradictions, you should be able to discuss some, right?

maybe i put that poorly; i am aware that the apparent contradictions in the Bible are surely deliberate, and lead to wisdom, while also hiding wisdom from the wise

I invite you to go to the thread and share the wisdom you have gained from these deliberate contradictions.
